Kapp'n is a turtle who usually transports the player to different areas. He has driven a boat, cab, and bus throughout the series. He also says really wierd things when he is transporting a girl.

Appearance

His classic look is a sailor suit, as he rows his boat to the island. In his more "modern" look, Kapp'n wears a blue suit and blue hat.

Purposes

Animal Crossing: Population Growing

In Population Growing, Kapp'n stops his boat at the dock in the F acres of town if the player has the Gameboy Advance Cable connected to the Nintendo Gamecube. He will transport the player in his boat to the island, singing a song along the way.

Animal Crossing: Wild World

In Animal Crossing: Wild World, Kapp'n appears in the beginning of the game, driving the player to town. Here is the first time he wears his "modern look". He appears again only when the player is moving to another town.

Animal Crossing: City Folk

In City Folk, Kapp'n serves a bigger role than the past games. He is seen more frequently because of going to the city and back again and again. He is once again seen at the beginning of the game, but this time Rover asks all the questions, unlike Wild World. He just announces that the bus is getting near the town the player is headed to. When going to the city however, he chats with the player until they make it to the city, with the same actions when going back to town.

Trivia

  • Kapp'n keeps memories of his Gamecube days in Wild World and City Folk by keeping a bobblehead of himself in his boat from Population Growing.
