Paradise Planning is a primary location in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Happy Home Paradise. The player can work here to design houses in archipelago and facilities. It is run by Lottie, Niko, and Wardell, with player acting as a home designer.

Appearances

In Happy Home Paradise

After purchasing and downloading the DLC, the player receives call from Tom Nook to arrive in airport. Lottie is introduced here and tells the player that they can work at Paradise Planning on the island. Afterward, the player can access Paradise Planning by talking to Orville and choose "I want to go to work" opinion. During the flying, the player sees introduction trailer for the archipelago. After their arrival, the player is greeted by Niko and they follow him to the office.

Once the player arrives at the main office, Lottie will set the player up, and require them to wear their staff uniform. After they are dressed up, the player gets to work with their first client, Eloise. If Eloise is already on the player's island, then the following villagers will show up in order until there is a villager that is not already on the player's island.: Olivia, Julia, Willow, Friga, Blanche, Cleo, Vivian, Purrl, Bree, Blaire, and Tasha.

Throughout the player's interim as house designer, the player will learn abilities such as polishing, Soundscapes, Partition Wall, pillars, counters, lighting, and room resizing. Eventually, the player is tasked to develop five facilities—the School, Café, Restaurant, Hospital, and Apparel Shop, in order to attract visitors to develop their Paradise Planning homes. After completing a house or a facility, the player will earn Poki, the local currency used throughout the archipelago. The player's salary increases the more the player's status grows.

After developing the archipelago's 20th house, Lottie will task the rest of Paradise Planning to prepare a special music festival to be held on the main island. The continued development being set forward by Paradise Planning results in DJ KK hosting the music festival.

Wardell's shop

Wardell operates a shop in the Paradise Planning office that sells 5 single furniture items a day, as well as a limitless supply of Souvenir Chocolates which can be purchased individually or in bulk.

Spending a total of  100,000 Poki in the shop unlocks the ability to 'Buy Now, Pay Later'. Wardell will offer to let the player to take an item that they cannot afford with the promise that they pay him the item's full cost at a later time. If the player agrees, they will immediately take the item for free and Wardell can be paid back at any time, with no time obligation. Only one item at a time can be purchased in this manner; the player must pay off any existing debt before they can defer payment for another item in the shop.

Spending  150,000 Poki unlocks the Paradise Planning catalog, containing every item the player has unlocked through designing vacation homes in every possible variation (excluding Not for Sale items). Numerous exclusive Paradise Planning-themed items can also be purchased, similar to the Nook Inc.-themed novelties available through the Nook Stop. Additionally, the Room Sketch Wall and Room Sketch Flooring become available for purchase once the player has received and used the Room Sketch app for their NookPhone.
