"Imperial K.K." is a K.K. Slider song that first appears in Doubutsu no Mori. It is based on the traditional Chinese music, and derives its name from China's history as an imperial state prior to the downfall of the Qing dynasty in 1912. The song also takes inspiration from Chinese orchestral music, with a combination of traditional folk instruments along with Western instruments. It has an Asian style xylophone, tubas, and different Chinese instruments.

Trivia[edit]

  • On Nintendo's Doubutsu no Mori website, a "comment from development" (most likely composer Toru Minegishi) stated that they aimed for "Imperial K.K." to be a misunderstood version of traditional Chinese music, and that K.K. himself is not aware of the misunderstanding.[1]
